There's been quite the rise of spy movies lately (Bridge of Spies, The Man from U.N.C.L.E and Spectre, all in 2015 alone). But here's one we didn't expect - Spy Squad has Barbie and her best friends, Teresa and Renee, transform from hardworking gymnasts to undercover agents. It isn't long before their skills attract a top secret spy agency and they are assigned a task - to capture a gem-stealing cat burglar who's eluded all other agents by far. The girls suit up - gadgets, glam disguises et al - and work together to solve the mystery of the nimble-fingered burglar once and for all.

Mr Robot Season 1 (2015) (TV-13)
There's something about hackers that never fails to impress, and Mr Robot is one of the first series to jump onto the trend. The show follows Elliot Alderson, a paranoid, deluded man living in New York. Elliot has a social anxiety disorder and hacks people to connect with them. But everything takes a turn when he is contacted by Mr Robot, a mysterious anarchist, who wants to recruit him. Mr Robot wants Elliot to help him take down a company that is ruining the world - unfortunately, it also happens to be a company Elliot works for. This one keeps the twists coming.
