They were angry over the quality of food being served to them and picked up a fight with the camp manager.
Some workers who spoke to Khaleej Times said trouble started around 10pm in front of the canteen. One of the workers said they were not happy with the food and several others joined him and had heated arguments with the camp manager.
He added the arguments led to violence.
The workers set two vehicles on fire.
"Some of our colleagues beat up the camp boss and broke the windows and destroyed furniture in the canteen," added the workers.
The number of workers who were injured is not known.
The police rushed to the labour accommodation, which houses more than 3,000 workers, and brought the situation under control. The police took into custody a number of workers who allegedly started the fight.
Ras Al Khaimah Indian Association general secretary A. M. Nooruddin said he has reported the incident to the Indian Consulate officials in Dubai.
The public relations department of the company and the RAK Police refused to comment.
