A three-year-old boy was attacked by a ravenous wolf inside a shopping mall in the city of Arar, the capital of Northern Borders Province in Saudi Arabia, according to Saudi Daily Okaz.
The child reportedly approached the caged animals when his family went for prayer. The injured child was immediately taken to the hospital where he received treatment.
Okaz reports that the residents were shocked that wild animals were kept inside a mall where families and children visited for shopping and leisure.
The spokesperson for the police in the Northern Borders, Awaid Al Enezi, said that the incident was reported at the Khalidiya police station in Arar. He also added that a lawsuit has been filed against the party that caused the incident and an investigation is underway.
