Meet Zenith Irfan. A girl who traveled around Pakistan on her motorbike, breaking stereotypes at the same time. All to fulfill her late father's wish, whose dream it was to travel the world.
"When I was 12, my mother and I were going through some pictures, family photographs, and my mother told me that 'your father wanted to travel all across the world on a motorcycle' and she was telling me how this was his dream and he could never accomplish it because he lived such a short life. And my mother got this crazy idea that I should pursue this dream of his and take it on as a legacy for my father ... because in our culture we are usually bounded with certain limitations, like parents don't allow their children to go on trips or to have some fun because of the culture around us. It's a very restrictive culture," she told PRI.
In June last summer, she decided to venture further afield with solo trip through Pakistan with Kashmir being the highlight of her trip.
"I want to go to Kashmir because I've heard so much about it," she told CNN earlier in the year.
It may sound easy to just jet off on a motorcycle trip cross-country, but for the 21-year-old Lahore student it was easier said than done.
She struggled trying to learn how to ride a bike, with the brakes, clutch and gear changes being the trickiest to master. But once she got the hang of it there was no stopping her.
She traveled first to Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, then rode past mountains, rivers and lush landscapes to Murree -- a suburb located on the southern slopes of the western Himalayan foothills. From there she rode on to Pakistan-administered Kashmir's capital Muzaffarabad.
Then she continued through the region's forested Neelam Valley with picturesque towns and villages like Sharda and Kel.
