Watch: Helicopter on Mohammed bin Zayed Road after road accident

Dubai - In a video posted by Dubai Police on Twitter today, the helicopter can be seen waiting on the road while Dubai Police patrol cars block the traffic.

An emergency services helicopter landed on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road today afternoon after an accident on the highway.
In a video posted by Dubai Police on Twitter today, the helicopter can be seen waiting on the road while Dubai Police patrol cars block the traffic. The accident took place on the duck roundabout on Mohammed Bin Zayed road going towards Sharjah.

There have been no reports of any casualties in the accident which took place. Police, helicopter and ambulances were at the accident scene.
In 2015, forty-six people were killed in run-over incidents in Dubai, an increase from 39 in 2014.
Earlier this year in March, The Dubai Police has recorded at least 253 traffic accidents and received 3,200 calls in a span of seven hours from 6 am to 1 pm as heavy to moderate rain hit most areas of the country
Figures released by the General Department of Traffic showed that since January, drivers in the age bracket 22-30 years were involved in road accidents that caused the death of 21 people in Dubai.
The General Department of Traffic of the Dubai Police also issued 5,790 traffic violations and violated 281 cars between November 3, 2015 and April 9, 2016.
