“The move is in response to a request by the Sudanese Red Crescent officials to the UAE RCS to contribute humanitarian assistance to the affected people,” said Mohammad Habrosh Al Rumaithi, Acting Secretary-General of the UAE RCS.

Rumaithi said that the UAE aid included food, medicines and other essential items, such as tents and blankets.
