UAE Ambassador to ASEAN presents credentials
UAE Ambassador to Indonesia Yusuf Rashid Al Sharhan presented his credentials yesterday as the ambassador to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN.
The credentials were presented to the ASEAN Secretary-General Dr Surin Pitsuwan at a meeting with him held at the ASEAN headquarters in Jakarta.
During the meeting, they discussed relations of UAE and other GCC states with the member countries in the ASEAN.
The two sides expressed their keenness to make further efforts to strengthen these relations.
Pitsuwan also hailed the development witnessed by the UAE under the wise leadership of The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
