Two workers die in road accidents
DUBAI — A 37-year-old Indian worker was killed in an accident in Al Quoz Industrial Area on Wednesday.
The accident took place around 8am when a concrete ready-mix truck was moving in the correct lane. The driver failed to control the truck when the Indian cyclist suddenly entered the road. The cyclist was thrown into the air by the impact and he died on the spot, police officials said.
In Ajman, a Sir Lankan worker died in a hit-and-run accident. The Operations Room of Ajman Police received information that a man was lying dead in the Mushraif area. Taking clue from a broken mirror on the scene, the police traced the car which was driven by a Russian. During interrogation, the Russian confessed that he hit the worker while going to work at 5am.
