RAS AL KHAIMAH - The Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court started hearing a case in which a woman and two men, all Asians, are accused of prostitution. The defendants denied the charge.
Court records show that the case came to light last year when the CID officers of the police arrested the trio from an old traditional house in the emirate, following a tipoff that they were running a prostitution racket.
The accused were first interrogated by the police and then referred to the Public Prosecution.
The court bench, comprising Presiding Judge Yusuf Rajab, Judge Hamad Abdul Karim and Judge Arif Humaidan, adjourned the case to next month to hear witnesses.
