Motorists coming from Emirates Road will be diverted to the road inside the industrial area parallel to Al Rabat Road and back to Al Rabat Road before Al Garhoud Bridge. Those coming in from Al Garhoud Bridge to Rashidia, Ras Al Khor area and Emirates Road will keep on using Al Rabat Road.

The diversion will allow the motorists coming from Al Garhoud Bridge through Al Rabat Road heading to Marrakesh Road to enter through a temporary traffic signal installed after the intersection between Al Rabat Road and Marrakesh Road for left turn.

The diversion will remain in place for 12 months and motorists have been urged by the Roads Department to be alert, follow traffic signs and extend their fullest co-operation, in order to complete this important tunnel in time. The department in a statement said that it will improve traffic movement at the existing intersection and will also facilitate the completion of the fourth crossing over Dubai Creek, in order to provide additional route to connect Bur Dubai with Deira.
