However, for residents who have opted to spend Eid in the UAE, and are looking for a place to rest, relax, and explore, there are several exciting destinations that are very much worth a visit.
Al Marjan island in Ras Al Khaimah
With Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and even Sharjah often stealing the spotlight when it comes to tourism in the UAE, travellers can be forgiven for overlooking Ras Al Khaimah. However, those familiar with the emirate will adamantly attest to its beauty and the warmth of its residents. The emirate is home to fertile plains, towering mountains, white sandy beaches, generous mangroves, and a magnificent desert. Those looking to beat the heat can enjoy various water sports offered at the hotels located on Al Marjan Island. The man-made island extends a vast 4.5 kilometres into the sea.
Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain
Better known as the 'Garden City', Al Ain is a stunning city that is popular amongst travellers looking to escape the humidity of the summer months. Visitors to the emirate have a lot to look forward to, including a trip to the ever exciting Al Ain Zoo and a drive to the top of Jebel Hafeet.
