The bat shines in the dark
DUBAI — Movie buffs flocked to theatres all over the UAE to catch the midnight premiere of the much-awaited Batman film, "The Dark Knight". Most theatres had started selling tickets four days before the release.
Already having topped box offices internationally, the film is expected to continue its success in the UAE as well. The film seems to have developed a universal appeal as people of various ages and from different social groups turned up for the premiere. Women seemed just as enthusiastic about the action flick as men. Mary Ann, a Filipina, said that although she was not a Batman fan, the intriguing trailers of "The Dark Knight" had lured her to the theatres.
