Steps being taken to solve water-logging
SHARJAH — The Sharjah Municipality is taking the measures required to solve the water-logging problems in several parts of the emirate.
Abdullah Al Amri, Director General of the Sharjah Municipality, said information about rainfall will be received at the municipality from the meteorological office.
Last week’s heavy rains have wreaked havoc on the drainage system. Municipality workers are trying to repair the sewage pipes and also carry out water suction.
He stressed that the municipality team which comprises 220 workers deployed 109 suction trucks during the two days of the rainy spell.
