Sheikh Fatima applauds efforts to integrate disabled people

ABU DHABI - His Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the Chairwoman of the UAE General Women’s Union (GWU), and of Family Development Foundation (FDF) applauded the efforts being made by the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs and Minors Affairs to integrate the disabled with the community.

She expressed hopes that integration programs and initiatives will continue to serve this group and the rest of the community and promote solidarity.

This, she added, is continuation to the efforts and support provided by the late founding father Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan who was the pioneer philanthropist and the compassionate leader.

Sheikha Fatima’s remarks came in a speech delivered by Hamad Khalfan Al Shamsi, Director General of Shaikh Fatima’s Private Department, at the conclusion of the second session of the UAE National Integration programme 2010 which was run by the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs and Minors Affairs.
