Sharjah serious with tenancy registration
SHARJAH — The Sharjah Municipality will take legal action against tenants of residential and commercial properties who have received the final notice and have not registered their tenancy contract after renewal.
A public notice issued recently by Sharjah Municipality Director-General Dr Salah Al Hajj urged tenants of residential as well as commercial properties in the emirate of Sharjah to register their contracts with the municipality.
An official from the tenancy contract section said the municipality is currently sending final notices to those whose contracts are due for renewal.
The municipality has recently realised that a large number of tenants in the emirate were not registering their tenancy contracts for unknown reasons.
