Sharjah Police gets set for emergencies in remote areas

SHARJAH — To ensure prompt response to any emergency situation, the Sharjah Police launched a mobile operations room that will mainly cover areas with limited network for mobile phones. The mobile operations room will be operating from a car.

This will enable the police to connect andlink all the areas with limited coverage to the main operations room.This will also enable live coverage of any event through the mobile operations room.

Engineer Hassan Masoud Amiri, Director of the Operations and CommunicationDepartment of Sharjah Police said: “The assigned vehicle is mainly aimed to ensuring immediate arrivalandresponse to any emergency situation. We are mainly aiming at rendering the best level of services and that areas with no network can be easily accessed. Previously people who faced accidents at remote areas with no network coverage were finding it hard to communicate with the operations room but now we are launching the new technique that will offer better service.” amira@khaleejtimes.com
