The opening of the new facility is designed to meet the growing demand for medical fitness tests for residence visas in the area. Last year, the Mussafah centre conducted around 220,000 medical tests for visas.

“The opening of the new centre at Mussafah with a capacity of 1,300 tests daily is part of SEHA’s plans to ease the high turnout witnessed by the existing centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region,” said Mohammed Hawas Al Sadid, DPSC manager.

The new centre has the latest equipment and modern technologies that can ensure accuracy in the analysis and fast results.

It offers complete medical examination for migrant workers, as well as, preventive care for the community. It consists of 24 reception counters, eight medical examination rooms, six rooms for blood testing and six X-ray machines and immunisation facilities. Screening will take an average of 30 minutes and the test results will be
delivered within two days.

The centre will operate from 7am to 7pm from Sunday to Thursday, in an effort to keep pace with the remarkable growth in various sectors of commercial, industrial and urban
spheres in Abu Dhabi.
