Security arrangements are in place to ensure the safety of residents during Eid celebrations, Sharjah Police have said.
Sharjah Police will intensify patrol for controlling illegal activities and minimise traffic congestions on roads.
The traffic patrols will be intensified near shopping areas, mosques, squires and parks.
The police also will intensify traffic awareness among public to reduce accidents and educate them to cooperate with police in order to curb illegal activities.
Patrol also will be deployed in residential areas to prevent children from using fire crackers, and inspection will be intensified in the market targeting firecracker sellers.
Col. Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Director-General of Sharjah Police said that they will also deploy patrols near beaches to prevent the young people and children from drowning accident.
The awareness also targets the people who are leaving the country on vocation to educate them to take precautionary measures to prevent theft crimes.
He said that police is keen to make all efforts to prevent crimes and curb accidents to ensure safety for the public that increase during this type of occasion.
Col Bin Amer said that all preparation has been completed and coordination has been conducted between various police departments.
