The Ministry of Haj and Umrah, Saudi Arabia, stated that 20 local Haj companies have been selected to participate in the "economy 2 package" for this year's Haj, reports Saudi Gazatte.
Under this move, the selected companies will be committed to a unified rate of SR3,465 for domestic Haj pilgrims.
About 10,000 pilgrims are expected to register for Haj under this package for which the registration will start on Dhul Qada 1 (July 4).
The ministry also asked these companies to pay the fees for all the packages through electronic gate dedicated for domestic pilgrims. It further asked to start issuing Haj permits to citizens and expatriates.

The e-gate opened as early as Ramadan 15 (May 20) for domestic pilgrims to help them browse through services and charges of the local Haj companies, the report added.
