Saudi businessman and billionaire Sheikh Walid Juffali was in the news recently after his ex-wife and supermodel, 54, was awarded the huge sum of 74 million pounds earlier this month at the High Court in London.
The 61-year-old died in Zurich, where he was receiving treatment for cancer, on Wednesday.
This divorce case was extremely high profile and publicised as the stakes for both parties were high. Her lawyers said the award she received was 'by more than £50million the largest needs award ever made by an English court'. The court hearing was brought forward due to Juffali's worsening health.

High Court Family Division judge Justice Roberts had ordered Juffali to pay Estrada the lump sum by 4pm on Friday, July 29, however this could now be delayed while his affairs are put in order.
Juffali's death will not affect the settlement. It is now legally binding and he will have to still pay her the money.
The pair married in 2000 but fell out after Juffali decided to take another wife, a 25-year-old Lebanese model, and divorced Estrada under Islamic law without her knowledge.
The model, who has a daughter with the Saudi businessman, had initially asked for £196 million. She claimed that her 'reasonable needs 'included a £55 million home in London and a £4.4 million country mansion in Henley, as well as more than £1 million a year for clothes and £335,000 a year for staff.
