Speaking to Khaleej Times, Mahmoud Al Balushi, Chief Inspector of the Consumer Protection Section in the DPE, said that many of the chain restaurant customers had complained about a recent hike in prices of family meals from Dh65 to Dh75.

Though senior officials of the company were not available for comment, sources in the call centre of the chain said prices of all the meals had returned to the original.

“The price of the economy size family meal now costs Dh62. We charge Dh5 for delivery. Some two weeks ago, the prices of all the meals were increased by up to Dh3 to Dh5. But we returned to the original price just before the New Year. Now the prices of all the meals are normal.”
