‘Reckless driver’ to pay Dh150,000 as diya for killing woman, daughter
FUJAIRAH — The Fujairah Court of Appeal has ordered a UAE national woman teacher, M.KH.M, to pay Dh150,000 as blood money (diya) to the family of a woman, who died along with her daughter, in an accident while the teacher was driving the car.
As per court records, the Fujairah Police had mentioned “reckless driving” as the reason behind the accident. Those dead were identified as S.M.M, and her daughter, F.S Ali. The Public Prosecution had charged the UAE national with causing the death of the mother-daughter.
