A group of Emirati young men and women, in a bid to bring happiness to the public, has launched a charity initiative to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan and welcome Eid Al Fitr.
The promising community drive, themed 'Farewell Ramadan, Welcome Eid', was launched on a WhatsApp group to adopt the country strategy and UAE leadership's vision of happiness.
"The Group consists of 25 Emirati men and women from all emirates. The move is meant to boost and promote the image of the UAE as a country of happiness," said Badr Obaid Al Ali, administrator of the group. "
The 'Open Market' initiative includes 24 kiosks of Emirati young investors, traders, and families with small and medium projects, he added. They display their products at the exhibition in at Hamra Mall in Ras Al Khaimah. This helps them earn some extra bucks and support their families.
"Cash and in-kind prizes were gifted to the public whereas the guests were entertained with interesting shows."
"All members of the group are keen to come up with happy drives, serve the country, boost public interest, and chip in the ongoing sustainable development," said Al Ali.
The function attracted a huge number of people, and saw the presence of many UAE celebrities such as Abdullah Abu Abed; Abdulaziz Al Sabhan, Saif Al Shehi, as well as Abdullah Al Junaibi, Chairman of Turjuman Group; famous anchor Enas Mohammed; and fashion designer Moza Al Shehi.
Al Ali said the drive, supported by Al Shorfa Restaurant & Café in Dubai, and Me & Only Man Spa in Abu Dhabi, is a sort of Eid gift for the public.
"We wanted to surprise people with happy ideas and support young entrepreneurs," he added.
