Police vigil keeps Sharjah roads
safer during Eid Sharjah

SHARJAH - As many as 730 road accidents occurred in Sharjah during the Eid holidays in which three people were killed and a number of injuries

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed bin Darwish, Director of the Patrolling Section of Sharjah Police said that the first three days of Eid had witnessed a comparatively lower rate of accidents compared to the normal road accidents figure.

During the first day of Eid, 195 accidents were occurred and the second day witnessed 267 accidents. There were 268 accidents during the third day.

“Sharjah roads are equipped with 50 highly-advanced cameras connected to the Operations Room of the police. Through the camera, we can easily monitor the traffic movement on roads and immediately spot occurrence of any accident and respond to it,” he added.
