A private aircraft with only cockpit crew in it made an emergency landing at Jaipur airport in India after the plane displayed 'door open' indication.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when the pilot of the Cessna plane, flying from India's Lucknow to Karachi in Pakistan, got 'Indication of Open Door'. The pilot alerted Jaipur Airport Air Traffic Control (ATC) about the apparent technical glitch and requested permission for priority landing, reported ANI.
According to Jaipur airport officials, the pilot of the Karachi-bound SR-20 aircraft was allowed emergency landing so that the aircraft doors could be checked for safety. However, as per Standard Operating Procedure the airport officials informed the State Intelligence Bureau and aviation securities agency about the incident.
The private plane was given a green signal to depart for Karachi after airport team and security agencies conducted an inspection.
