Open session for parents of kidney-failure children
DUBAI - Dubai hospital organised on Sunday an open session for parents of children suffering from kidney failure at the hospital.
Asmaa Al Dosuki from the children's kidney section at Dubai hospital, pointed out that the step is aimed at guiding parents on how to deal with the kidney failure case properly.
"The meeting gave parents an opportunity to know more about the problems that would confront patients suffering from kidney failure especially as they undergo dialysis treatment at home," she noted. The session included displaying some videotapes on dialysis treatments.
The session will help parents to provide moral support for their children, explained Ms Al Dosuki, praising the efforts of the kidney section at the hospital in organising such valuable sessions.
Layla Abdulla, Head of the Social Services Unit, said that the unit had honoured a patient's mother for her commitment to follow up the proper instructions of dialysis treatment on her child during eight years.
