Oman Air flight makes emergency landing in Goa

A Chennai-bound Oman Air flight from Muscat on Thursday made an emergency landing at Goa International airport in Dabolim after a woman passenger was taken ill.
Oman Air flight WY251 scheduled to fly to Chennai.
"There was (an) emergency landing due to a medical reason at 7am. Oman Airway's flight that was flying to Chennai from Muscat had a woman passenger who reported sick mid-air," Dabolim Airport director, Bhupesh Negi said to the Indian Express
The passenger was later declared dead by doctors, he said. The flight later took off to its scheduled journey.
The passenger, a senior citizen identified as Sheikha, was declared dead on arrival at the Chicalim Cottage Hospital where she was rushed to along with her relatives who were also on the flight.
Oman Air apologised for the lengthy wait and inconvenience caused on their social media accounts.

Recently on July 13, an Oman Air flight departing from India was delayed due to a bomb hoax.
