Saudi Arabia is currently considering new visa fee structure for Umrah pilgrims on short stay.
According to the Saudi Gazette, an Umrah visa fee of SR500 for pilgrims who will stay in the Kingdom for a maximum of five days is under evaluation.
"This is one of many other options the ministry is considering," Al-Madina daily quoted Haj and Umrah Minister Mohammed Saleh Bantan as saying.
A revised visa fee structure has already been implemented from October according to which the first entry Haj and Umrah pilgrims will be free. An amount of SR2,000 will be charged for subsequent entries.
