The partnership is aimed at promoting Internet accessibility for the disabled in the Middle East region, which is lacking and acts as a barrier to the integration of blind, deaf and individuals with other disabilities into the regional Internet user community.

"Watchfire technologies can bring tremendous benefits to the disabled in the UAE and the region as a whole. We have discovered that both private and government organisations have not made their web sites accessible to the disabled, nor have they even thought about the issue as a business or community development issue," said David Michaux, CEO of Scanit Middle East.
