The 28-year-old Sri Lankan man, charged with molestation, trespassing and use of alcohol, stood on trial in the Court of First Instance on Monday.

The housewife, a British national aged 28, told the prosecutor that the incident happened about 4am on October 20.

“I was sleeping with my husband in our bedroom when I felt someone touching and groping me,” the woman said during the investigation. At first she thought that it was her 12-year-old son.

She woke up her husband to tell him that she saw someone walking out from their bedroom in the dark. She thought that her son was sleep-walking.

However, when she went to her son’s room she found him sleeping.

The worker admitted during interrogation to having trespassed into the woman’s villa in Jumeirah while intoxicated.

He also admitted that he groped her, said the prosecution.
