Lankan Missions Open on Fridays
DUBAI - The Sri Lankan Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Sri Lankan Consulate in Dubai will work on all Fridays beginning from November 1 following numerous consular service requests from low-income expatriate The missions, however, will remain closed on Sundays.
“We will keep the missions open on Fridays since several of our low-income group nationals are unable to come on weekdays due to their work demands. We have nearly 100 people approaching us everyday only for consular services like attestations, issuing of birth, death and marriage certificates and passport services,” said Wasantha Senanayake, Consul-General of Sri Lanka in Dubai.
