Khalifa receives Myres
ABU DHABI - Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received at his palace in Al Bateen here yesterday General Richard B. Myres, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Shaikh Khalifa welcomed the American official and lauded the level of existing bilateral relations.
They discussed matters relating cooperation and friendly ties and means of bolstering them in various fields, particularly the military, defence and technological domains, in the best interest of both the countries. They also exchanged views on current developments in the region.
Present at the meeting were Lt-Gen. Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, a number of officials, delegation accompanying General Myres and Richard Albright, US Charge d'Affaires here.
