The Abu Dhabi International Exhibition Centre, venue of the event, saw 338 exhibitors from 41 countries showcase a wide range of products and services over the last four days — a 49 per cent growth over the previous edition of the biennial show that was spread over an area of 5,000sq-m that again is an increase of 30 per cent.

Many companies from various countries made their debut at Environment-2005, while a good number of them were more conspicuous with their own stalls at their country’s pavilions.

The entire venue was a beehive of activity with a conference that ran parallel, deliberating on the absorbing theme “Sustainable transportation in developing countries”, to the participation of speakers from environmental agencies and international companies.

Many companies found the event useful to introduce some novel gadgets and contraptions that serve to promote indoor air quality, water purification and management systems and environmental protection techniques.
