Jail term, Dh200,000 fine for this act of cruelty in UAE

Abu Dhabi - The minimum fine is Dh50,000.

The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority has issued an advisory for residents regarding animal cruelty.
According to Article 14 of the Animal Welfare law, residents will be jailed for no less than a year, or fined at least Dh50,000, for unauthorised use of animals for experimental trials or scientific research.
The fine can reach up to Dh200,000 for such heinous acts.
