Celebrating Urdu language, Bazm-e-Urdu, a non-profit organisation in Dubai will be conducting their second annual Mushairah (Urdu Poetry Session) on August 27.
The event being organised to celebrate the independence days of India and Pakistan, will be held at the Iranian Club, Oud Metha Road, Dubai.
The event will see prominent poets from both countries share the stage and recite their choicest couplets. The poets include Anwar Shaoor, Abbas Tabish, Ahmad Salman, Salman Gilani and Rakshanda Naveed from Pakistan; and Manzar Bhopali, Mehshar Afridi, Iqbal Ashar, Johar Kanpuri, Haseeb Soz, Agha Sarosh, Ashok Sahil, Mohamed Aijaz and Khushboo Rampuri from India.
Emirati poet Dr Zubair Farooq will also recite few of his Urdu couplets at the event.
