The new film — titled ‘Deewane Hogaye Pagal’ — features famous actors like Om Puri, Sunil Shetty, Akshay Kumar, Johny Lever, Paresh Rawal, and the beautiful actress Rima Sen. The 54-year-old Om Puri was born in the year 1950 in Ambala town of Haryana state in India.

He has starred in more than 200 films. Speaking to mediapersons at a Press conference organised on Thursday at RAK Hotel, Vikram Bhatt, the film director, said: “This is a romantic, action, and at the same time a comedy film.”

The crew is shooting the last 15 minutes of the film, which also includes the climax.

They filmed the first parts in India and Dubai. On a question about why they chose RAK to shoot this part of the film, “The unique combination of sand dunes, mountains, greenery and flat land surrounded by the desert — this is the primary reason why we chose Awafi area to film these scenes,” he added. Firoz Najidwallal, the film producer, said: “This is the first time for us to shoot a film in this part of the world and we found it very wonderful to have good locations for our glamorous film.”

He also expressed his thanks to the RAK government and the people “for their unrelenting support.”
