Starting this week, parents can register their children for admission, following which they will be allocated a date to visit the school and pay for the Dh200 registration fee.
Parents will then be allotted two coupons with a unique code, one of which will be dropped in the admission box in the registrar’s office and the other retained by the parent. A total of 200 students will then be drawn from the admission box through a lot system, which will take place on November 16.
Speaking with Khaleej Times about the new admission system, Ashok Kumar, CEO, IHS Dubai, said, “Parents don’t have to queue outside the school as they can log in and register their child. The new system also reduces the paperwork as student details will be stored online.”
He also highlighted that parents who are outside the country for holidays can benefit from the online registration as they can log in from anywhere and complete the registration without having to come to school. The online registration form will remain open till November 8.
Last year, more than 3,000 students had registered for admission as only 200 were selected from the lot. The senior school was rated outstanding in the School Inspection Report issued by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
The school, which follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum currently, has more than 10,000 students on its rolls.
