Hospital to hold health awareness programme today
DUBAI - The Karachi-based Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) will organise a health awareness programme on 'Signs, Symptoms and Care' at the Sheraton Deira Hotel in Dubai between 6pm and 7.30pm today.
The presentation is aimed at increasing the awareness for early diagnosis and timely treatment of health problems.
Dr Azam Shafquat, assistant professor of Cardiology and Dr Shahid Ahmed Sami, associate professor and chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at AKUH, will be the speakers focussing on topics such as palpitations and bypassing the bypass surgery'.
Dr Shafquat will discuss the causes of palpitation and its cure as also ablation therapy, while Dr Ahmed Sami will focus on coronary artery disease causes, symptoms and cure and how to prevent bypass surgery.
