Health awareness seminar
ABU DHABI — Ahalia Hospital will organise a health awareness seminar on November 14 on the occasion of the World Diabetic Day. The speakers are Dr Madan Mohan P., MD, physician, and Reni Jose, dietician, both from Ahalia.
“Diabetes is no longer an affliction of the aged, but is now commonly found among men and women in their early forties, probably due to the change in lifestyle. One of the offshoots of this disease is diabetic retinopathy wherein the patient loses total vision. Since this loss of vision is irreversible, it is important that it is diagnosed sufficiently early,” states a Press release from the hospital.
