Discussions centred on areas of cooperation and programmes and opportunities to promote tourism to the airline's owner states. Speaking during the meeting, Mr Hogan said: "As a key player in the communications infrastructure of the region, Gulf Air is a facilitator of economic prosperity and has a vital role to play in boosting the local economies of our owner states." He explained that Gulf Air is taking an increasingly active role in the promotion of tourism to the owner states, citing the recently-launched Gulf Air Holidays Arabian Experience, as an example of the airline's on-going commitment to the region.

"This major new tourism initiative, which promotes the unique cultural richness of the destinations and attractions in the region, offers packages to Bahrain, the UAE and Oman, where we have joined forces with local tourism authorities to spearhead a multi-million dollar international campaign that will offer holiday-makers a true Arabian Experience that offers the best of our region," Mr Hogan said.
