Fujairah Bakeries Directed to Reduce Prices
FUJAIRAH - All bakeries in Fujairah have been ordered to reduce the prices of all types of breads by 25 per cent.
The decision was taken after a meeting last week between the bakery owners and the Department of Consumer Protection in the presence of the
Hashim Al Nuaimi, director of the department, said, “The department is working as per the Ministry of Economy which has decided upon a cut in prices of essential food stuff.
“We will be implementing the same in three months, starting with bread, as the prices of wheat and flour is low all over the world.”
In the next few weeks, we will issue directives to all the shops, groceries etc to reduce prices of some more essential food stuffs by 25 per cent. These include all types of flour, sugar etc, the official said.
The new prices are effective from Saturday.
