Four detainees escape from detention cell

DUBAI — The Dubai Police is chasing four detainees — three Iranians and an Iraqi — who escaped from the Murraqabat police detention cells on Saturday.

The four suspects charged with theft, and pending prosecution, meticulously planned the escape and managed to flee the scene. Their act was discovered by the police on Sunday morning .

CID police teams have launched an intensive search, and have set several traps. An eye witness said that he saw police officials cordoning off certain areas. No arrests have been reported yet.

In July, some prisoners at the Port detention cells had tried to escape by setting their mattresses and blanket on fire, but their attempt was foiled by the police. news@khaleejtimes.com
