Forum for autistic kids from April 5 to 8

ABU DHABI - The Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs and Minors Affairs will be organising the First International Forum for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from April 5 to 8.

It is being hosted by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Autism on the theme ‘Together we make a difference’.

It would provide an opportunity for children with ASD and their parents to learn the best international practices in achieving social and educational inclusion for people with ASD.

ASD is a spectrum of psychological conditions characterised by impaired communication, poor social interaction skills and repetitive behaviour.

It is estimated that it affects one in 146 newborns worldwide.
