Five-day cultural festival begins in Abu Dhabi today
ABU DHABI — A five-day cultural festival will be inaugurated in Abu Dhabi today as part of the country’s 36th National Day celebrations, the Municipal Affairs Department has announced.
According to Juma Mubarak Al Jinaibi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Municipality, the festival, being organised by the Department at Khalifa Park, would include entertainment shows to be presented by popular troupes and competitions.
There would be shows like ‘Samson of the Arabs’ and ‘Spiderman’ and events like parachute jumping, races of Arabian thorough-bred horses and camels, and motorbike race . The festival would also feature a traditional herbal medicine bazaar, Al Jinaibi said.
