A fire erupted in a flat in Al Muraqabbat area on Sunday evening. Families were immediately evacuated from the building after the fire on the first floor raised an alarm.
The Dubai Civil Defense put out a fire from the four-storey building gutted in the fire. No injuries were reported in the fire.
Sources in Dubai Civil Defence said, "24 people, including 2 children were rescued from the fire. The firefighters from three stations including Port Saeed, Al Hamriya, and Al Ras rushed to site when they received the information that a fire erupted."
The fire brigades evacuated the trapped people and prevented the fire from spreading further. The ambulance provided first aid and checked the health of the trapped people, who were rescued in no time.
