Fouad Ismail, Executive Director of MSF, UAE, said that using UAE as a logistic hub and coordination centre will help the humanitarian agency with a swift reactivity mechanism in reaching help to those in critical circumstances.

"We are mulling the possibility in the light of the increasing importance of UAE as a regional hub for trade and enterprises. An MSF logistics centre to store the non-perishable relief items and coordinating our operations in the region would cut down the cost and time involved in reaching out to the populations in disaster," said Mr Fouad.
