Dubai Municipality is currently working on the final stage of implementing its new addressing system ‘Makani’, which is aimed at identifying the entrances of buildings accurately in one meter distance using a code number for each building in the emirate of Dubai.

Hussein Lootah, Director General of the civic body has said that the system will have many of the tangible benefits, most notably ease of identifying any location on the map accurately up to one meter using the ‘Makani’ application, which is far better, accurate and comfortable for all nationalities comparing to other related applications, as it needs only a number code instead of names of places.

Available to all for free round the clock, the application can be accessed through smart phones, tablet PCs, computers and navigational devices in cars.
