As part of this programme, the Municipality's director-general and an assistant director-general will visit the DM departments without prior notice and spend a whole day with the directors. The top officials will remain with the middle management staff while the latter continue their transactions.
During these regular field visits, the higher leadership will remain with the middle management staff throughout their activities and transactions of that day. The programme has started on May 1 and will continue to be implemented on a regular basis.Hawa Bastaki, Director of Administrative Development and Quality Department, said the programme aimed at providing moral support of the higher leadership to the middle management as well as a chance to see the challenges the middle managers face during the day-to-day work.
