DM forms new team to book violations

Dubai - These officers can book violations pertaining to protection of environment, construction works, sewerage, irrigation and drainage services.

A new team of law enforcement officers has been formed to book civic violations in Dubai.
Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of the Dubai Municipality, on Monday issued a decision whereby some officials of the municipality's Environment Emergency Office are given powers to act as law enforcement officers.
These officers can book acts committed in violation to the provisions of various local orders pertaining to protection of environment, construction works, sewerage, irrigation and drainage services and public health and safety The local orders are order No ( 61) on the rules governing the protection of the environment, local order No (3) for the year 1999 regarding organising the construction works, local order No (8) for the year 2002 on sewerage, irrigation, and water drainage in Dubai, local order no (11) for the year 2003 on public health and safety of the society, and administrative order No (44) for the year 2010 pertaining to the transfer of the employees of the environment emergency bureau.
As per the forgoing decision, the below mentioned employees have been authorised to bring to book those infringing the provisions of the local orders, its bylaws, or any other pertinent decision issued, a media statement from the municipality said.
Those employees have been also delegated the powers to register the violation detected and refer it to the competent organising unit.
The employees, who have been given such power, are: Mohammed Abbas Ahmed Hassan, Saeed Abdulah Ali Al Shehi, Mohammed Abdulah Othman Al Kamali, Mohammed Ali Mohamad Masoud, Sayed Hassan Sayed Hasheimi, Hussain Ali Abdulah Kahour, Ali Eid AbdulAziz Alhai, Saif Juman Saeed Al Khateibi, Ishaq Ali Abdulah Al Balooshi, Hamdan Abdullah Hamdan bin Delmouk, Abdullah Salem Rashid Al Wahbi, and Abdulhaq Nour Ahmed.
