Dilapidated houses in Ajman to be demolished

AJMAN — The Department of Ajman Municipality and Planning (Damp) will demolish in June around 70 dilapidated houses in the Al Nakheel district as part of its re-planning projects being carried in various parts of the emirate.

The municipality is keen to develop the district strategically located in the marine belt. The re-planning projects in Al Nakheel include expansion of roads and providing the area with basic facilities like food markets, clinics and sewerage system.

Saif Salim Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Ajman Municipality, said, “These houses are dilapidated and are not safety for living.”

He added that this project will be carried out in June.

Al Shamsi said, “The municipality is currently working on plans for several residential areas including Al Bustan and Al Nuaimia districts where many old houses will be demolished and roads will be expanded.”
